The Network
‘The Network’ is an informal journal for posting any and all things interesting about landscapes and landscape processes. The Network is dedicated to celebrating the colossal beauty and interesting complexity of all types of planetary landscapes. The informal journal is designed to fill the gap between professional peer reviewed journal writing (and all the time and angst it takes to create notable publishable pieces of work) and the notes, sketches, photos, half baked ideas, rocks, bags of sand, mud, and pieces of wood that lie accumulating in offices, homes, drawers, rucksacks, and trucks that represent, on whole, the accumulated wisdom and experiences of landscape afficiados, no matter what specific discipline are involved. Post your short literary pieces or not so literary vignettes, or simply a photo or two of your favorite landscape or landscape process accompanied by a short description. Don’t forget the landscape puzzlers. This is your chance to share those quirky ideas or photos or just plain cool field experiences with your colleagues. Registration on the NetMap site is required.

Landscape Forum
The landscape forum is an on line discussion site for colleagues working in various disciplines in the natural sciences, particularly those involved with landscapes, to share observations, to ask questions, or to seek advice on a particular topic. Registration on the NetMap site is required. Posts can target NetMap or NetStream tools or simply disciplinary issues pertaining to landsliding, other forms of erosion, fire, stream temperature, wood loading, channel morphology, and habitat potential, etc.
